Q: i have bought one of your 20,800ma battery packs . I bought this after reading it is compatible with iPads . When I plug my iPad 4 in it says accessorie not compatible and stops charging ?
A: You can try trouble shooting by using a different charging cable. The charging cable being used may not be able to deliver the power needed to charge the iPad. The original apple cable shouldn’t have any issues, but some aftermarket cables do, even if they work fine in other devices they can still produce the error message with our products. If trying a different cable doesn't solve your issue, you can file for a warranty replacement: lenmar.com/warranty or call customer care at 805.384.9600 ext 101
Q: I'd like to be able to charge this in the car like the other Lenmar device I have. Is it safe to connect it straight to a lighter socket with an appropriate lead? Or should I use a regulated DC-DC 12V 2amp supply? Noted that the supplied plug pack is 12V 2000mA.
A: Not knowing what the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket can handle, we can’t say this would be the way to charge it. The 12 volts is fine, if it could supply the 2A as it should or if the wires could even handle it. We recommend checking the specifics on the cigarette light socket. The DC –DC regulated power supply, hard wired in may be a better way to go. If you have further technical questions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
